This is a non-exhaustive list of related, open-source projects. Each project has strengths/weaknesses, so it is important to see what project is best for your use case.
In the HyperSpy ecosystem#
HyperSpy: Python library with tools for multi-dimensional data analysis, which pyxem builds upon.
kikuchipy: Python library for analysis and processing of electron backscatter diffraction patterns, in the pyxem family.
orix: Python library for handling crystal orientation mapping data, in the pyxem family.
diffsims: Python library for simulating diffraction, in the pyxem family.
pixstem: Python library for pixelated STEM. Merged with pyxem, but its documentation is still a great reference.
Other projects#
abtem: Python library for simulating pixelated STEM images. Exports to HyperSpy/pyxem for easy integration.
py4DSTEM: Python library for 4D-STEM microscopy.
pycroscopy: Python library for scientific imaging and materials science.
LiberTEM: Python library for high-throughput distributed processing of large-scale binary data sets using a simplified MapReduce programming model.
STEMDIFF: Python library for converting a 4D-STEM dataset to a 2D-powder diffractogram.
